Creative people have it in them to speak to the whole world.  Let your light shine by learning the forgotten tools that made the great writers great, bypass the beginner mistakes, and fast track your novel or short story with five days of creative training under an experienced literature teacher.  Lots of programs can teach you writing techniques – Quillhaven Fellowship is a unique opportunity to build a foundation of writing theory you can apply to any genre or any time you get stuck.

ITINERARY

  • 10:00 - 11:30 (ET) – Morning session, training the mind and heart to make your story shine.  You’ll learn classical methods to focus ideas, hone imagination, and harness tools that make the good stories last.  

  • 11:30 - 4:00 (ET) – Work offline on writing assignments.  Instructor available in a drop-in zoom room for questions and guidance.

  • 4:00 - 5:30 (ET) – Read your writing with the group and get peer and instructor feedback.

INSTRUCTOR

Tobin Duby has a Bachelor’s degree in the Classical Liberal arts and dresses like a Hobbit.  He has taught literature, history, and composition for five years and lives to turn the abstract into the practical and guide students into the forgotten riches of their Christian literary heritage.
